2-3-6081X -- 1310 Transmission Yoke for GM TH350
The 2-3-6081X is the workhorse transmission yoke for TH350-equipped GM cars and trucks built through the mid-1980s. It carries the 26/27-spline, 1.176" pitch diameter specification that was standard across GM's light-duty passenger-car and truck lineup for two decades. The 1.500" hub diameter matches the tailshaft bore on unmodified TH350 cases, and the 5.469" center-to-end dimension is correct for most stock tunnel lengths.
One frequent installation mistake: technicians sometimes confuse this yoke with the longer TH700R4 yoke (our part 3R03-700). The TH700 unit adds approximately 1.3" to accommodate the overdrive case length. Installing the shorter TH350 yoke in a TH700 will leave the driveshaft chronically short of full engagement on the tube, causing vibration and possible separation at highway speed. Measure your tunnel clearance before ordering.
The 1310 series uses a 1.062" U-joint cap diameter -- cross-referenced as Spicer 5-153X. Torque U-joint strap bolts to 14 ft-lb if using the original-style straps, or follow the snap-ring manufacturer spec if converting to a c-clip style joint. Grease intervals on 1310 needle bearings are typically 30,000 miles under normal highway use, shorter under sustained off-road or high-angle operation.
