How to identify the part you need

Driveline parts are ordered by measurement, not by vehicle year alone. The specifications we publish on each part page are the ones that determine fitment:

  • Series — stamped or cast on many yokes; otherwise determined from the cross and bearing cap dimensions.
  • Spline count and spline diameter — count the splines on the output shaft and measure across the tips. A 27-spline 1.188 shaft and a 31-spline 1.375 shaft are not interchangeable.
  • Bearing inside diameter — for center support bearings, this must match the outside diameter of the midship stub it rides on.
  • Bolt circle and pilot diameter — for flange yokes and companion flanges, measure the circle through the bolt hole centres and the diameter of the register that locates the flange.
  • Tube outside diameter and wall thickness — for weld yokes and tubing, the yoke butt must match the tube it welds into.

Where a dimension appears on a part page without a unit, it is listed exactly as the manufacturer specifies it. Imperial and metric parts both appear in this catalog, so confirm which system your measurement is in before comparing.

If you cannot find the part

Search by part number first — many parts are written with a slash in the field and a hyphen in catalogs, and both forms will find the same product here. If your part is superseded, discontinued or you are working from a shaft with no legible numbers, send us the measurements and we will identify it. We also build custom driveshafts to length when no off-the-shelf assembly fits.
