2-3-4951KX -- 1310 Series Slip Yoke, 1.375"x16 Spline, 6.000" Centerline-to-End
The 1.375-inch 16-spline bore is the most common slip yoke specification in light-duty truck drivetrain work. It appears across a broad range of half-ton and three-quarter-ton applications -- GM, Ford, Chrysler, and imported platforms -- wherever a 1310 series driveshaft connects to a transmission or transfer case with a splined stub shaft. The 2-3-4951KX is the standard production slip yoke for this spline specification.
The spline bore slides over the stop shaft -- the splined stub that is welded into the front section of the driveshaft tube -- and telescopes as suspension cycles through its travel. The 6.000-inch CJ-to-end provides the telescoping range; under full suspension droop, you must have at least 1.000 inch of spline engagement remaining in the bore, or the yoke can separate from the shaft. Measure your installed length at droop before building or modifying a driveshaft with this yoke.
The 1310 series uses 1.062-inch cap U-joints. This yoke is incompatible with 1350 series components (different cap diameter and width) even though the shaft may visually appear similar.
