2603-30 -- 7260 Series Yoke for Chrysler 727, A518, 46RH/46RE/47RE Transmissions
The engineering trade-off between 2603-30 (7260 series) and 2903-30 (7290 series) is the U-joint cap size, not the spline or counterbore profile. Both yokes use the same 29/30-spline x 1.312" shaft interface and similar C/U-joint to end dimensions. The difference is the trunnion ear bore -- 7260 and 7290 are not the same cap series, so a 7290 U-joint will not correctly seat in a 7260 yoke ear. Confirm which series your existing driveshaft is built around before ordering. DET reference number 2883575 (versus 2781932 for the 7290 version) is the OEM cross-reference for Chrysler dealer parts.
The 1.507" counterbore on 2603-30 is slightly larger than the 1.455" on 2903-30 -- this difference reflects different output bearing retainer ODs between transmission variants. Verify which counterbore diameter matches your transmission before ordering. The correct pilot fit eliminates lateral play between yoke and output shaft, which is critical for preventing vibration at high driveshaft RPM.
This transmission yoke fits the Chrysler 727 TorqueFlite as well as the electronically controlled 46RE and 47RE overdrive variants -- a wide fitment range that makes 2603-30 one of the more commonly stocked Mopar drivetrain service parts.
