2-40-2051 -- UDS Midship Slip Yoke, 16x1.375" Spline, 3.000"x0.065" Tube
The 0.065-inch wall thickness on the 3.000-inch tube that the 2-40-2051 fits is notably thin. Standard 3.000-inch driveshaft tubes run 0.083-inch or 0.095-inch walls; 0.065-inch is a lightweight or economy-grade specification found on older vehicles, some import-market assemblies, and cost-optimized production shafts. If you're rebuilding rather than replacing in kind, confirm the existing tube is actually 0.065 inches before purchasing -- a tube that measures 0.083 inches requires a different yoke butt diameter to seat correctly.
