1253-261 UDS Splined Midship Tube Shaft
The 1253-261 is a splined midship tube shaft manufactured by UDS. In a two-piece driveshaft assembly, the midship shaft occupies the center section: one end carries the splined bore that accepts a slip yoke, and the other end connects to a U-joint. The shaft is welded into a driveshaft tube.
The spline specification is 26 x 1.115 — the slip yoke that slides onto this shaft must have an identical spline count and diameter. The shaft is designed to fit inside a 2.500 x 0.065" tube with a butt diameter of 2.375 inches at the weld joint. The end-to-weld dimension is 3.125 inches. Note: USE WITH: 1204-261 , Uses 858018 nut.
