The 1442-125 is the smallest-tube stub midship shaft in the series, using a 1.250" OD tube with a heavy 0.120" wall. The 1.000" butt diameter confirms the very small tube bore on this shaft. Despite the small tube OD, the 1.250" OD tube at 0.120" wall has an ID of only 1.010", making this an extremely heavy-wall-to-diameter ratio approaching pipe-level construction.
This heavy wall on a small tube indicates a compact, high-stress application where shaft torsional stiffness per unit diameter is critical. The CVJ interface with 20-spline x 0.853" uses catalog number 1452-8601 for the mating CVJ kit, which must be ordered separately.
