1340-20L UDS Splined Midship Tube Shaft
The 1340-20L is a splined midship tube shaft manufactured by UDS. In a two-piece driveshaft assembly, the midship shaft occupies the center section: one end carries the splined bore that accepts a slip yoke, and the other end connects to a U-joint. The shaft is welded into a driveshaft tube.
The spline specification is 20 X 1.310 — the slip yoke that slides onto this shaft must have an identical spline count and diameter. The shaft is designed to fit inside a 2.560 x 0.065" tube with a butt diameter of 2.435 inches at the weld joint. The end-to-weld dimension is 9.375 inches. Note: Toyota, Sold only in kit 1343-20L.
