3103-27CV -- 1310 CV Yoke for Jeep 231 Transfer Case

The NP231 transfer case in Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees requires a CV-style transmission yoke at its rear output to cancel the velocity variations introduced by the steep operating angles common in lifted Jeeps. The 3103-27CV uses the same 26/27-spline, 1.176" PD shaft interface as the standard TH350 GM yoke but adds a CV socket machined into the yoke body. This socket accepts the centering ball of the corresponding front driveshaft CV joint -- without the CV hardware, the rear driveshaft on a 2"+ lift will vibrate at highway speed regardless of how precisely it is balanced.

Important: "CV Yoke" refers specifically to the centering-socket design at the yoke face, not to a complete constant-velocity assembly. You will also need the companion CV socket, centering ball, and retaining hardware from our CV joint kit catalog to complete the installation. The 5.875" center-to-end dimension is correct for stock-height and mildly lifted NP231 applications. Verify the T/C output shaft is the standard 1.176" PD Jeep spec before ordering -- some high-mileage rebuilds have been fitted with GM-spec shafts that use the same count but different pitch.
