70-3-41X UDS SPL70 Slip Yoke
The 70-3-41X is a SPL70 series slip yoke manufactured by UDS. The slip yoke slides over the stop shaft — the splined stub welded onto the front section of the driveshaft tube — and telescopes in and out as the suspension cycles. This allows the driveshaft to change working length without binding.
The spline specification is 26/27; verify this matches the stop shaft before ordering. The centerline-to-end dimension is 9.279 inches, measured from the U-joint centerline to the open end of the spline bore. This controls minimum engagement depth under full suspension droop — ensure sufficient spline overlap remains at maximum driveshaft extension. Spicer. The SPL70 series ranks above SPL55 in torque capacity, with a 1.500-inch cap diameter, suited for heavy-duty medium trucks and buses.
