- Snap-ring groove bore allows field U-joint replacement without a press -- critical for off-road or expedition builds that may require trailside repair.
- 1310-series interface -- same 1.062" cap diameter as 1330, but narrower trunnion span; verify series before ordering.
- Aluminum construction -- 4043 or 5356 filler depending on alloy; preheat to 250°F.
- Compatible cross: Spicer 5-153X snap-ring style, Neapco N2-0002 snap-ring configuration.
When building a field-serviceable aluminum driveshaft, use snap-ring retention throughout -- this weld yoke at one end and a matching snap-ring end yoke at the other ensures U-joint replacement is possible without shop equipment. Balance after welding for any shaft length above 24".
