- 0.375" longer centerline-to-weld than the 3626-252 (1.625" vs. 1.250") -- this changes the effective shaft length; account for the difference when calculating driveshaft tube cut length
- The 2.344" butt diameter is the standard for CVJ-series components in this tube class; interchangeable pilot dimension across the CVJ family
- Must be ordered and installed with companion parts 3152-1002 and 3153-253 for a complete functional assembly
- CVJ-series provides single-plane constant-velocity motion at working angles up to approximately 18 degrees

The 1.625" centerline-to-weld on the 3126-253 places the weld joint further from the U-joint centerline than the 3626-252 variant. This extra distance benefits heat management during welding -- the U-joint trunnion hardness can be degraded if weld heat propagates within 1.000" of the trunnion journal. Always allow the weld zone to cool below 150 degrees F before pressing the U-joint into the yoke ears on a CVJ weld yoke assembly.
