Q: Is the 25-spline Ford spec the same as any Jeep or GM 25-spline?
A: No. The pitch diameter (1.113") and tooth form are specific to Ford's light-duty automatic application. GM's 25-spline output shafts use a different PD and tooth angle. Using a mismatched yoke will result in a loose, chattering fit that fails within hundreds of miles.
Q: Why does this transmission yoke run 6.500" C-to-end when similar-size transmissions use 5.500"?
