3-53-1371 -- UDS Slip Midship Yoke, 16x1.375" Spline, 4.438" Length, 3.000" Tube
The 3-53-1371 and 3-53-1361 are close siblings: both run 16x1.375-inch splines in a 3.000-inch, 0.083-inch wall tube with a 1.378-inch bearing journal and 2.844-inch butt diameter. The difference is spline length and overall shaft length. The 3-53-1371 has 4.438 inches of spline (versus 4.969" on the 3-53-1361) and an end-to-weld of 7.031 inches (versus 8.094"). Choose between them based on your required telescoping range: more spline length allows more slip travel before losing engagement; less spline length is appropriate when the installation geometry is tight and the telescoping range is limited.
For a direct replacement, match both the spline length and end-to-weld to your original -- even a 0.500-inch difference in ETW changes the relationship between the weld joint position in the tube and the bearing journal position relative to the crossmember.
