Upgrade Path Note: The 3-28-557 (1410 series, 3.500"x0.083" tube) and 3-28-557U (1410 series, 3.500"x0.095" tube) share the same U-joint series and CL-to-weld, but the 3-28-557U uses a different stepped-bore pilot. If upgrading from 0.083" to 0.095" wall tube for increased strength, you must also change from this yoke to the 3-28-557U -- the 0.031" butt diameter difference prevents interchangeability between tube walls.

The 3-28-557 is the standard flush-pilot 1410-series weld yoke for 3.500"x0.083" tube. The 3.344" butt and 2.125" CL-to-weld are the standard 1410 series dimensions for this tube specification, consistent with the 3.344" butts used in the 1350-series at the same tube OD and wall. The 1.188" cap bore distinguishes this yoke as 1410 series versus 1350-series (1.062" cap at the same tube size). Inspect your original U-joint cap OD with a micrometer before ordering a replacement yoke -- the 1350 and 1410 series differ by 0.126" in cap OD, which is easily visible once you know to measure it.
