• 4.757" butt diameter is consistent across 1410 and 1480 series in this tube spec -- confirms the tube bore is the same regardless of joint series
• 2.875" CL-to-weld -- same as 4826-50A (1480 series); shaft length calculation procedure is identical
• 1410 vs. 1480: the 1410 series has a smaller U-joint than the 1480 (1.188" vs. 1.375" cap); the aluminum yoke ear bore diameter is the key difference between these two otherwise dimensionally similar parts
• Complete the assembly with a 1410-series U-joint at 1.188" cap; do not substitute the 1480 joint

An upgrade path consideration: if a 5.000" aluminum shaft with 1410 joints is being built for an application that may see increased torque in the future (engine upgrade, supercharger, etc.), consider specifying 1480-series yokes at the outset. Swapping to 1480 later requires re-machining the ear bores -- not a practical field modification. The 1480 series adds only ounces of additional weight in the aluminum weld yoke format, making it the better long-term investment for any build with known future power increases planned.
