The 8.031" C/U-joint to end dimension makes this one of the longer 7290 series yokes -- it provides extended slip travel for trucks and vans with longer driveshafts or where the transmission has been relocated during a conversion. "Full spline" means the spline engagement runs the full usable length of the hub bore, maximizing torque transfer surface area versus partial-spline designs.
The 7290 series U-joint cap diameter is 1.062", same as the 1310 -- these two series are sometimes intermixed, but the cap bearing cup depth and width differ, so always verify the replacement U-joint cross-section against your yoke ear bore dimensions. The absence of a counterbore (0.000") means this yoke relies entirely on the spline fit for centering -- do not use on applications that previously required a counterbored pilot.
