The 2-40-2301 is a slip-style spline stub shaft designed for 2.500" OD driveshaft tube with a 0.065" wall. The splined bore measures 1.250" diameter with 16 splines. End-to-weld length is 7.750" and the butt diameter is 2.375". Spline engagement length is 2.500".
