The 2-28-437 is one of the most widely referenced Spicer weld yokes in the light-truck repair market, appearing in GM, Ford, and Chrysler rear driveshaft applications where the 3.000" tube diameter and 1310-series U-joint interface are standard. When ordering for repair, confirm the original shaft uses a 1310-series cross (trunnion span check) rather than a 1330 -- both fit the same cap bore. The 3.000" x 0.083" tube gives adequate torsional strength for half-ton rated rear shafts. Pair with Spicer 5-153X or equivalent 1310 cross, and use a matching weld yoke at the opposite end to maintain proper phasing. Neapco catalog: 2-0030 series.
