Full Description
The 1453-862 is a CVJ-style stub midship shaft with the same 1.181" bearing and 21 x 0.900" spline as the 1453-863 (slip style), but uses CVJ interface and 2.500" OD tube rather than the 2.000" OD on the 863. This tube size increase accommodates higher torque loading. The mating component is 1452-8602, per catalog data.
The 5.395" end-to-weld positions the tube weld approximately 5.4 inches from the bearing eye centerline. This compact end-to-weld is consistent with a midship section where the bearing sits relatively close to the tube end in the overall shaft layout.
