Building or rebuilding a 3R series driveshaft means getting the weld yoke right first. The 3R-28-437 weld yoke is machined for one tube diameter and one series — those two specs are non-negotiable. Get the butt diameter wrong and the weld joint is already compromised before you strike the arc.
3R-28-437 Weld Yoke — Tube Fit & Steel Specs
The 3R series covers metric 3-bolt flange — European and import platforms. The 3R-28-437 weld yoke specs: fits 3.000X0.083 tube | 2.844" butt dia | 1.875" center-to-weld.
