Building or rebuilding a SPL90 series driveshaft means getting the weld yoke right first. The 90-28-27 weld yoke is machined for one tube diameter and one series — those two specs are non-negotiable. Get the butt diameter wrong and the weld joint is already compromised before you strike the arc.
