The DUST CAP KIT D3G is a splined dust cap kit rated for both 1350 and 1410 series driveshaft slip assemblies. It seals the spline bore entry on slip yokes and stub shafts against road contamination and moisture intrusion. The inside diameter is 1.779" (R-profile) and the dual-lip seal OD measures 1.766" outer / 1.375" inner. The 16-spline engagement count applies to both series fitments covered by this kit.
The D3G differs from the D3K by its seal OD specification: where the D3K uses a 1.750/1.500 stepped seal face, the D3G uses a 1.766/1.375 profile. This wider spread between the two seal diameters provides a longer lip contact path on the housing register, which is why the D3G covers two series — the 1350 and 1410 assemblies share a common housing register in certain application families. The 1.779-R inside diameter designates a ribbed bore contoured to fit over the spline crests; attempting to fit this cap over a smooth-bore journal or a spline with a different count will result in an incomplete seal or a cap that will not seat at full depth. Confirm the housing bore can accommodate the 1.766" outer seal lip before installation.
