Choosing the 1410 aluminum weld yoke over the 1330 version (ATY1330-500) is an engineering trade-off between torque capacity and weight -- the 1410 trunnion ear is wider to accept the larger 1.188" cap diameter U-joint, which increases the yoke mass slightly. For performance street applications where the driveshaft torque input approaches or exceeds 1330 series limits, this 1410 version provides the appropriate safety margin.

• Series: 1410 -- 1.188" U-joint cap diameter, step up from 1330 in torque and angle capacity
• Material: 6061-T6 aluminum -- heat-treated for maximum strength-to-weight ratio
• C/U-joint to weld: 3.000" -- same offset as ATY1330-500 and ATY1350-500 for uniform shaft length calculation
• Tube: 5.000" OD x 0.125" wall -- large-diameter aluminum driveshaft tube for minimal critical speed concerns
• After welding, dynamic balancing is required -- aluminum yoke-to-tube welds have tighter TIR tolerances than steel

The 5.000" tube diameter raises the critical (whip) speed well above typical highway RPM for most truck applications. However, if this shaft is used in a race or high-RPM application, calculate the critical speed using the actual shaft length before specifying. Pair with a 1410 series U-joint.
