Full Description
Wall Thickness Note: The 4126-405A is for 4.000"x0.083" tube (butt dia 3.850"), while the 4126-41A is for 4.000"x0.125" tube (butt dia 3.757"). The 0.093" butt diameter difference reflects the 0.042" wall difference per side. Using the 0.125" wall yoke butt (3.757") in a 0.083" wall tube bore (3.834" bore) will produce a loose-fit pilot. Using the 0.083" wall yoke butt (3.850") in a 0.125" wall tube bore (3.750" bore) will not seat. Match butt to tube wall.
The 4126-405A provides an aluminum 1410-series option for the lighter 0.083" wall variant of the 4.000" tube. The thinner wall reduces rotating mass relative to the 0.125" wall, improving powertrain response at the cost of slightly reduced impact resistance. At 2.500" CL-to-weld, this is 0.375" shorter than the 4126-41A (2.875" CL) -- select between these variants based on your required total shaft length calculation. Aluminum welding procedure applies: de-oxidize immediately before welding, use correct filler wire, and allow full cooling before joint installation.
