3526-51A -- 1350-Series Aluminum Weld Yoke, 5.000x0.125 Tube

The 3526-51A is the entry point for large-diameter aluminum performance driveshaft construction in the 1350 series. At 5.000" tube OD and 0.125" wall, this combination provides the highest critical speed rating available at the 1350 joint capacity level. The 1350 series cap (1.188") handles higher torque than the 1310/1330 (1.062" cap) while the 5.000" aluminum tube provides critical speed margins above 5,500 RPM at 50" span -- adequate for most high-horsepower street and mild competition applications.

The 4.757" butt diameter and 2.875" CL-to-weld are consistent across the 1350, 1410, and 1480 aluminum weld yoke families at the same tube spec -- the U-joint cap bore is the only dimensional difference between series at the same tube OD. Aluminum welding protocol applies: remove oxide immediately before welding with a dedicated stainless wire brush, use 4043 or 5356 filler wire, and allow the assembly to cool to below 100 degrees F before pressing in the 1350-series U-joint. Balance to 0.05 oz-in or better for high-speed applications. Compare with the 3526-506A (3.000" CL) if additional shaft length margin is needed at the weld-yoke end of the assembly.
