3526-356A – Weld Yokes – 1350 Series – Butt Dia 3.257″ – Tube Dia Wall 3.500X0.125

The 3526-356A is the long-CL variant for the 3.500"x0.125" aluminum 1350 family. At 2.376" CL-to-weld, it is 0.626" longer than the 3526-35A (1.750" CL) -- a significant length difference that requires a correspondingly shorter tube cut to achieve the same total shaft dimension. The 0.626" is enough to matter when calculating clearance at suspension extremes -- always use the exact CL-to-weld dimension in shaft length calculations rather than rounding.

• Same tube spec as 3526-35A: 3.500"x0.125", 3.257" butt diameter, 1350 series, aluminum
• 2.376" CL-to-weld: 0.626" longer; requires tube cut shortened by exactly this amount for same total shaft length
• The longer CL places the weld further from the U-joint journals -- marginally reduces heat-affected zone risk during welding
• 1350 U-joint required at 1.188" cap; do not substitute 1330 or 1310 joints
• This weld yoke is functionally identical to 3526-35A in every respect except effective length contribution

Shaft fabricators typically stock both the short-CL and long-CL variants to avoid custom tube cuts when building to non-standard lengths. If your required shaft falls between the tube lengths achievable with either variant at standard tube stock increments, select the long-CL variant and trim the tube to exact length -- trimming 0.626" is simpler than adding length.
