This assembly is appropriate only for purpose-built competition vehicles where torsional loads are controlled and weight is the overriding design criterion. Do not use for street vehicles, towing applications, or any service where unexpected overloads (wheelspin, hard shifting) can occur.

The 3326-501A mirrors the 4126-501A and 4826-45A specification pattern for ultra-thin-wall aluminum: 5.000" OD, 0.063" wall, 4.888" butt diameter, 4.110" CL-to-weld -- the only difference being the 1330-series (smaller cap) versus 1410 or 1480 at the joint end. The 4.110" CL-to-weld is critical for safe welding at 0.063" wall -- as detailed earlier, the heat-affected zone boundary must remain more than 3.000" from the U-joint journal area to preserve ear bore hardness.
