2603-231 KIA transmission yoke, 23-spline x 1.200″ diameter, 6.181″ centerline to U-joint, 1.575″ hub diameter.
Full Description
KIA driveline spline specifications do not follow SAE or Spicer standard counts -- the 23-spline x 1.200" profile on this yoke is unique to KIA transmissions and is not directly interchangeable with domestic or other import yokes of similar hub diameter. Measure the transmission output spline count before ordering.
- Spline: 23 x 1.200" pitch diameter -- KIA-specific profile
- C/U-joint to end: 6.181" -- longer than many compact yokes, provides slip travel for longer driveshafts
- Hub diameter: 1.575" -- must match the transmission output seal bore
- Series cross-reference: confirm vehicle U-joint series before selecting a replacement U-joint -- some KIA models use metric-series joints not compatible with Spicer 1310 caps
When removing the old yoke, mark the driveshaft phase angle before disassembly. KIA driveshafts are typically phased at 0 degrees, but any existing assembly mark should be preserved to avoid introducing a secondary couple vibration after reassembly.
