The 2254-693 shares the same 7.550" end-to-weld, 0.985" bearing diameter, and 19 x 0.850" spline specification as the 2354-684, but uses a 2.344" butt diameter with 0.083" wall tube versus the 2354-684's 2.375" butt and 0.065" wall tube. The thicker 0.083" wall is better suited for higher torque applications or longer shaft spans where tube rigidity is important.
The catalog specifies this shaft is used with midship yoke 2252-682. This pairing information is critical - ordering the stub shaft without the correct mating midship yoke will result in an assembly that cannot be completed or will not seat correctly.
