Full Description
The 1254-681 stub shaft carries the center bearing race and connects the front section to the rear. Spline engagement on the transfer case or transmission end has to be exact.
1254-681 Midshaft Stub -- Spline & Tube Dimensions
The 1254-681 midshaft stub specs: 19 X 0.850 spline | 775" spline length | 2.375" butt dia | 6.625" end-to-weld | fits 2.500 tube. Note: This stub also has snap ring groove at 16mm to retain bearing. USE IT WITH: 2252-682. Verify spline count and butt diameter against your existing shaft.
The butt diameter must match the tube ID you're fitting it to -- a loose butt joint will introduce runout when welded.
