A yoke shaft combines the function of a yoke and a shaft into a single machined component — eliminating a weld joint and the potential runout that comes with it. This design is common in front axle applications, transfer case outputs, and certain differential configurations where the geometry demands a more integrated solution than a traditional yoke-and-tube assembly can provide. Yoke shafts are precision-machined components where every dimension matters: the U-joint bearing bores, the shaft diameter, the spline or flange interface on the opposite end, and the overall length all need to be correct for the assembly to work as designed. We carry yoke shafts to fit the most common applications and can assist in identifying the correct part for builds where the drivetrain layout isn’t straightforward.
