The note "like 3R82-321 but with long neck" is not a cosmetic difference -- the extended neck dimension changes the operating angle geometry of the front U-joint. On stock-height vehicles, the shorter 3R82-321 is typically correct. On lifted trucks with aftermarket suspension travel, the longer neck of 3R82-322 is required to maintain acceptable joint angles at full droop. Installing the wrong variant produces a 2x driveline frequency vibration that is often misdiagnosed as a wheel balance issue.
No boot cap is listed for this part number -- inspect the transfer case output seal each time the shaft is removed. A worn output seal will allow gear oil to contaminate the spline, breaking down the grease and initiating pitting corrosion on the spline flanks.
