Service warning: 1182-241 is noted as having staked joints -- the U-joint is factory-staked into the yoke ears and cannot be removed with standard snap ring tools. Attempting normal U-joint removal on a staked configuration without the correct press tooling will damage the yoke ears.
The 1182-241 is an Infiniti front driveshaft yoke shaft (9951-22 series) where the U-joint caps are staked rather than retained by snap rings. The 0.972" spline diameter, 24-spline count, and 5.130" CL-to-end differ slightly from the 1182-242 (non-staked, 4.461" CL-to-end). Staked U-joints require press-out tooling for disassembly -- pressing in the wrong direction scores the cap bore. When replacing this stub shaft, replace the entire yoke shaft assembly rather than attempting to service the individual staked joint.
