Full Description
The 1251 series occupies a niche between the compact 1210 and the more common 1310 series. It is found on certain import light trucks, small RWD vehicles, and specialty drivetrain applications where a 1310 is oversized but 1210 torque capacity is insufficient. The 1226-17 is the weld tube yoke for this series.
The tube dimension of 1.775" OD x 0.065" wall is a smaller-than-standard specification. Most domestic light truck tubes run 2.000" OD or larger. This size appears on smaller Japanese-platform driveshafts and some early compact trucks. The 0.065" wall is thinner than the 0.083" standard and is appropriate for light torque loads only.
