Full Description
The 1403-10 transmission yoke is the connection between the gearbox tailshaft and the front of the driveshaft. It splines onto the transmission output shaft and carries the front u-joint of the driveshaft. For 1100 series applications, the spline count and hub diameter are the two specs that determine whether this part fits your tailshaft correctly.
1403-10 Transmission Yoke — 1100 Series Specs & Tailshaft Fit
The 1100 series covers light-duty PTO and agricultural drive. The 1403-10 transmission yoke specs: 10 X 1.000 spline | 1.298" hub | 5.500" CJ-to-end. Compatible with: Capri. Hub diameter determines engagement depth on the tailshaft — if the hub is too short, the splines don't fully engage. CJ-to-end affects driveshaft working length.
After a transmission rebuild or swap, confirm the tailshaft spline count hasn't changed before installing the 1403-10 transmission yoke. Not all 1100 series transmissions use the same output spline across all years and configurations. Count the splines on the actual shaft.
