2-110695 -- Spicer 1410 Off-Road Weld Yoke, 2.283x0.157 Tube
The 2-110695 is a Spicer off-road-application 1410-series weld yoke in an unusual tube specification: 2.283" OD at 0.157" wall. This combination -- a relatively small OD with a very heavy wall -- provides exceptional resistance to dent and bend damage from rock strikes and trail obstacles while accepting the 1410 joint's high angular capacity. The 0.157" wall is nearly twice as heavy as the 0.083" wall used in standard street applications at similar OD, producing a tube section modulus appropriate for sustained off-road impact loading.
The 2.129" butt diameter is specific to this heavy-wall spec: 2.283" - 2x0.157" = 1.969" bore; 2.129" butt creates a 0.160" interference -- a tight press fit that holds the yoke firmly before welding. The 2.165" CL-to-weld provides adequate heat-affected zone clearance for the thicker tube wall, which requires higher heat input and longer dwell time during welding. This Spicer off-road weld yoke requires the 1410-series U-joint at 1.188" cap -- the ideal complement for 4WD front shaft applications on heavy lifted trucks where both angular capacity and impact resistance are priorities.
