Precision U-Joint: UJ2775U (STAKED Series, 1.062" Cap)
The UJ2775U universal joint cross is precision-ground to STAKED series standards -- 1.062" cap diameter, 2.952" overall width -- for use in STAKED series driveshaft applications. The cross body is heat-treated alloy steel; needle roller bearings are retained in hardened steel caps sealed with elastomer trunnion seals. Lubrication design: sealed (pre-lubricated, no grease fitting).

Needle Bearing Construction
Each of the four caps houses a set of needle roller bearings running on a hardened trunnion surface. The trunnion hardness depth must exceed the needle contact zone to prevent brinelling under shock loads. These crosses are manufactured to SAE standards for the STAKED series -- cap bore and trunnion dimensions are interchangeable with all OEM and aftermarket STAKED yokes.
Application: Staked Series Driveshaft
The STAKED series is the correct specification for STAKED series driveshaft driveshafts. If you are unsure of your series, compare the cap OD on your old cross to the 1.062" dimension -- or measure your yoke cap bore ID directly. Series must match at both the yoke bore and the cross cap.
Operating Angle
U-joint crosses should operate at angles between 1 and 3 degrees for smooth power transfer and maximum life. Angles above 5 degrees cause cyclic velocity variation (second-order vibration) and accelerate needle bearing fatigue. If your driveshaft angle exceeds 5 degrees, consider a double-cardan (CV) joint arrangement instead.
