The 3526-501A is the ultra-thin-wall 1350-series aluminum weld yoke -- 5.000" OD, 0.063" wall, 4.888" butt diameter, and 4.110" CL-to-weld. This specification prioritizes absolute minimum weight for motorsport applications where every ounce of rotating mass reduction has a measurable effect on quarter-mile elapsed time or road course lap time. The 0.063" wall at 5.000" OD provides torsional rigidity for the joint capacity requirements of the 1350 series, but provides no margin for impact damage or over-torque events.

The extended 4.110" CL-to-weld on this yoke is required because welding 0.063" aluminum wall even with expert technique produces a heat-affected zone extending up to 0.750" from the weld toe. At 4.110" CL, the far edge of the heat-affected zone remains more than 3.000" from the U-joint journal area -- safely outside the range where heat-induced softening could compromise the hardness of the yoke ears. Do not attempt to weld this part with standard production-quality steel-oriented MIG equipment.
