The snap-ring bore variant 3326-306A addresses a specific engineering scenario: applications where the assembled shaft must be disassembled in the field without a press. Snap-ring U-joint caps can be removed with snap-ring pliers and a drift punch, whereas wing-bearing caps require a bench press or C-clamp. If your maintenance cycle includes periodic U-joint replacement without pulling the shaft to a shop, the "-6" snap-ring variant is the practical choice.
