- 1350 series provides a meaningful step up in torque capacity over 1310 for the same ball stud geometry -- appropriate for larger 4WD front axles and medium-duty transfer cases
- The 1.188" U-joint cap diameter of the 1350 series must be confirmed against the axle housing yoke ear bore before ordering -- do not mix 1310 caps into 1350 ears
- Butt diameter 2.594" pilots into a 2.750" tube; verify tube bore is clean and round before pressing the butt in for welding
- Rubber dust cover (same ball stud dimensions as 2-28-2947 in 1310 series): inspect at every oil change and replace if cracked

Unlike a standard weld yoke, a ball stud yoke requires periodic lubrication of the ball socket in addition to the U-joint. Use a grease rated for metal-to-metal contact in dirty environments -- do not substitute wheel bearing grease, which lacks the tackiness to stay in place on an oscillating ball joint.
