A worn u-joint transfers vibration back through the driveshaft and into the cab. The UJ2488U 24 x 88 SPRINTER Crimp in STAKED U JOINT Mercedes Sprinter / Dodge Sprinter / Freightliner Sprinter gets rid of it — correct dimensions, correct retention, straight swap.
Factory-sealed with high-temp grease. No zerk, no service interval. For most daily-driven vehicles, sealed joints outlast greasable ones that never get serviced. The STAKED series runs a varies cap diameter across a varies width — built for permanently retained use. It's the standard cross on sealed assemblies — caps staked in place at factory, not serviceable individually.
Retention is Staked/Sealed Assembly (STAKED) — Caps are permanently staked at the factory — not designed for individual cap replacement. Entire joint must be replaced as a unit.
