1326-20-S -- 1351-20 Toyota Solid-Butt Weld Yoke
The 1326-20-S is a special-application weld yoke designed for Toyota solid-butt tube assemblies. The "SOLID BUTT" note on this part indicates the yoke's stub end is machined as a solid cylindrical stub rather than a hollow stepped pilot -- a different geometry used when the tube is butt-welded to a solid stub without an internal shoulder to pilot against. The 2.345" butt diameter matches the 2.560" tube's external seating geometry for this style of joint.
The machinist's note on this part is also significant: "CAN BE TURN DOWN TO 2.000 X 0.125" -- meaning the solid stub can be machined in a lathe to a 2.000" OD, allowing the yoke to be used with 2.000"x0.125" tube (different application). This dual-fitment capability makes the 1326-20-S a versatile component for shops that prefer to stock fewer SKUs. The Toyota 1351-20 U-joint series is required at the ear bore; confirm the series before ordering the complement joint. At 2.000" CL-to-weld, the weld geometry is the same as the 1326-21 -- these two parts appear very similar and must be distinguished by the solid-butt versus hollow-pilot geometry at the tube end.
