The 68740 series (also referenced as 2040 series in some catalogs) is a metric heavy-duty U-joint system used on European and Asian commercial trucks, buses, and heavy equipment. The SA68740S is a complete slip assembly combining a slip yoke and stub shaft for two-piece driveshaft configurations.
Working in metric dimensions throughout: the 47.6mm spline diameter with 135-tooth spline count provides fine-tooth engagement for smooth sliding under load. The 120mm OD x 3mm wall tube is a large-diameter commercial vehicle specification. At 120mm OD, this shaft is used on medium to heavy trucks where torque and shaft length demand a large tube diameter for critical speed compliance.
