The 2133-27 splined sleeve assembly provides axial extension capability for driveshaft systems requiring variable length adjustment while transmitting full torque. This BMW & MORE series component is built for applications where a standard slip yoke cannot accommodate the required travel range.
Splined Sleeve Function
Unlike a simple slip yoke that engages the transmission output shaft directly, a splined sleeve assembly incorporates a separate tube section that telescopes within an outer housing. This allows greater axial travel, making these assemblies valuable in lifted trucks, custom chassis builds, and off-road vehicles where suspension travel exceeds the limits of a conventional slip yoke.

Lubrication and Maintenance
Splined sleeve assemblies require periodic lubrication of the spline interface. The grease must penetrate between all spline teeth to prevent fretting corrosion during the small oscillating movements that occur with every suspension cycle. Use a high-pressure grease rated for spline applications; standard chassis grease may not adhere adequately under the wiping action of spline engagement.
