Full Description
The 7260 series U-joint (1.078" cap diameter) is commonly found on older Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth rear-wheel-drive vehicles -- a size that is often confused with the 1310 (1.062") or 7290 (1.062") series due to similar appearance. The 0.016" difference between 7260 (1.078") and 1310 (1.062") caps means a 1310 joint installed in a 7260 bore will appear to fit but will fretting-fail rapidly due to the bearing rock. Always measure the yoke bore or use the OEM cross-reference (1-6300) to confirm the correct series.

- Width: 2.125" trunnion span -- measure your yoke ear inside dimension to confirm
- Greaseable: zerk fitting for maintenance lubrication -- regrease every 30,000 miles or annually

On vehicles with a 7260 series driveshaft that have been converted to a 7290 or Spicer 1310 series, all yokes must also be changed to the new series -- a single mismatched U-joint in an otherwise standard driveline creates a vibration that cannot be balanced away.
