Application notes: GM fullsize trucks and SUVs with 35 mm stub shaft journals use this assembly. The 2.375" center-to-base height is slightly taller than the standard 2.250" used on many domestic trucks -- do not substitute without measuring. A mismatched bracket height changes the driveshaft working angle at the center joint, producing a vibration that many shops incorrectly diagnose as a tire balance issue. After installation, always perform a road test at 60--70 mph and note whether any vibration is speed-sensitive (balance-related) or RPM-sensitive (driveshaft-related).
