Full Description
The Chevy S10, GMC Sonoma, and Dodge Dakota share a two-piece driveshaft architecture that uses a square-mount center hanger bracket -- a design distinct from the round-base brackets used on fullsize trucks. Installing a round-base center support bearing on this application requires fabricating an adapter, which is unnecessary when the correct 3R80-50 square-bracket unit is used.

Tip: the most common Dakota center bearing failure on lifted trucks is accelerated rubber deterioration caused by increased driveshaft operating angles. If the vehicle has a body lift or suspension lift, check the operating angle at the center joint and add a driveshaft angle wedge if needed before replacing the bearing.
