Application note: the 2.500" center-to-base dimension is shorter than the 3R80-25 variant. Mixing up these two SKUs during assembly results in a binding driveshaft angle at the hanger bracket, causing vibration at highway speed. Always measure the existing bracket height before ordering. Cross-reference with Spicer 2-26 series hanger bearings for equivalent geometry. Inspect the crossmember mounting holes for elongation -- a loose bracket allows the bearing to move axially, transferring bending load to the stub shaft journal.
