3580-10 – Center Support Bearing – 1350 Series – 1.574″ ID – 2.250″ Center Bearing To Base

The 1350 series is a step up from the 1310 in torque capacity, using a larger 1.188" U-joint cap diameter. Two-piece driveshafts built around 1350 U-joints need a center support bearing bore that matches the stub shaft, which in this case measures 1.574" (40 mm). The 3580-10 provides that bore at the most common 2.250" center-to-base height.

• Rubber-isolator assembly absorbs vibration between the spinning driveshaft and fixed crossmember

• After installation, rotate the driveshaft by hand at least one full revolution before driving -- feel for any binding that indicates misalignment at the hanger bracket

Warning: never hammer the center support bearing assembly into a tight bracket opening. If it does not slide in by hand, check for bracket distortion or an incorrectly sized replacement. Hammering deforms the outer bracket and pre-loads the rubber isolator before the vehicle even moves.
